Being prepared appeals to many people. Planning ahead has many benefits:

• You have the benefit of time to consider your wishes and discuss these with others if desired.
• You can be as specific as you like about your preferences.
• Much of the stress involved in organising a funeral is removed for family members as they won't need to make difficult decisions while they are grieving and can be reassured that they carrying out your wishes.
• It can also help prevent disagreements (though it is important to note that your wishes are not legally binding, though the executor of your will is morally obliged to observe them).

To assist with planning ahead our free Plan Ahead Funeral Form allows you to document your personal and funeral wishes. This can be done in the privacy of your own home or we are happy to meet with you to discuss your options and wishes.

Once received your information will be kept on file for future reference.

Financial

We recognise that losing a loved one affects us not only emotionally but also financially.

We are able to work with you to create a funeral package that reflects your financial position. We are committed to offering excellent service and value for money so please ask us for a no obligation quote.

The cost of the funeral is usually meet by the family or the estate of the deceased. However if there is insufficient money available you may qualify for an income and asset tested grant from Work and Income NZ or in the case of an accidental death a grant may be available from ACC. If required we can assist you to apply for these grants.
